King’s Chorus Concert: “Ikos”
The King’s Chorus, under the direction of Nick Halley, presents their spring concert, “Ikos.” Falling on the Eve of the Annunciation, this feast of song will feature music written by some of the most prominent composers of the Eastern tradition. St. Matthew Passion by J. S. Bach
It has been five years since the Chapel Choir last performed Bach’s magnificent St Matthew Passion. Scored for double choir, double orchestra, and soloists, this musical monument tells the story of Christ’s Passion, using the narrative from the Gospel of St Matthew and additional texts by Bach’s librettist, Picander. The Feral Four: A Night of Jazz at the Riverport Inn
On Friday, September 9th, the Riverport Inn will present “The Feral Four”: Glenn Patscha (piano), Nick Halley (percussion), Patrick Reid (bass), and Ian McGimpsey (guitar). Doors open at 7 PM, show starts at 8 PM. These four jazz-steeped musicians have led four very different musical lives.
