Described by the Chronicle Herald as “annual magic”, A King’s Christmas is back for its eighth year. This feast of seasonal song and story is performed in a tour of Nova Scotian communities each year and has become an annual tradition for many. Guest narrators in past years have included writer and broadcaster Eleanor Wachtel, writer Alexander MacLeod, theatre director Ken Schwartz, and actor and writer Shelley Thompson. The music features carols from the mediaeval to the modern, and both music and readings highlight works from the Maritimes, often with original material written for the occasion by Halley or the narrator. This year the choir will have a guest narrator from New York City, R. Bruce Connelly.
Tickets $20-$100, available soon at www.kingschapelchoir.eventbrite.ca and from the King’s Co-op Bookstore, 902-422-1270 ext. 261.
